It's 2030 and I'm still hitting my Audit lecture notes. It's been 2 years since I took up a course in Accountancy without knowing whether or not I'll yield any gains from it. The only thing I remember is why I chose the course: - #1. Because the Government of S'pore recognises the qualification(Who needs the Gov't when you have the Big 4 anyway?) and #2. While the IT market looked promising at the time I enrolled for the course, it didn't seem that way when I was declared operationally ready. Joining the ranks of Charted Accountants seemed like a good thing to do at that time, and I now wonder if the same people that left Ngee Ann Poly IT(CS)/(MMC) and took up the course felt the same way too. And while the qualification almost garantees one a job(albeit the low starting pay) in sg, I wonder how many people actually make it to the top.

That was so long ago.

I'm 25 now, my studies end this december and I still dislike Mui Fan(rice with gravy). In case I don't see all of you frequently after I go a-looking for a job, here's what I have to say.

Thank you, Andrew, for being such a good friend. You are still, and probably will always be, the person I know with the best personality around. If forced to rank, you'd probably be what I'd regard as my best friend.

谢谢 Weilong, for being there to hear me bitch all the time. You never burderned me with your problems, however big and you never will. While I do not think it's a healthy practice to keep everything to yourself, I kinda respect you for that (paradoxical, I know). If I ever have kids, you'll be teaching them Mandrin.

To Jason and Patrick, for feeding me with advice and helping me grow throughout the years. To the former I express my gratitude for helping me in times of need. To the latter I thank you for the lessons on life (esp. the no BS theories). Thank you, the both of you. (And Kannina no, I'm not dying while writing this.)

Muchas Gracias Paul Ho. - Who supported me during the biggest crisis of my life back in Dec'04. Without you I probably wouldn't know how to deal with some of life's more complicated relationship problems too. All the best with CB (pun intended), and may the force be with you. Of course, I will too.

Thank you Sayseng, for rubbing your optimism off on me. You'll probably never come to realise the effect you have on my personality though, since you never read my blog. ^_^'

To Ultimate Power, for showing me how powerful Gato's LDM is, Kam sia.

Finally, Arigato Shimin, for always being there for me and for being such a loving, caring and patient girlfriend. You're the best. I'd feed you all the ice-cream in the world from yogurt to gelatos to alcohol infused vanilla treats if I had a fridge big enough to store them. (Btw, for those of you expecting me to say mushy sweet nothings to my girlfriend online, shame on you)

P.S. If anybody wants to work as a part time waitress/waiter at a sushi joint in CHIJMES, my g/f has a lobang.
